In 1977, Uwe Bauer saw The Clash and the Boomtown Rats perform. That simply blew him away. Back in Wuppertal, where he lived at the time, drastic changes were afoot. First: hair off. Second: everything that had happened in the past was now crap. Third: finally buying a drum kit and start performing. And that even though he had no clue at all about making music. It was a liberation.
Uwe Bauer, a machine on the drums, once in the groove - he was unstoppable!
With Fehlfarben Uwe drummed on "Monarchie & Alltag", "33 Tage in Ketten", "Glut und Asche" and "Die Platte Des Himmlischen Friedens"!
He was the backbone of so much good music, a drummer who was always put the band first.
We will all miss him and wish his children all the strength in this difficult time.
