Grzegorz Olszowka is a Berlin composer and producer. He has been leading the Berlin Ska-Rock Kultband ArEt for 5 years, singing and playing guitar. Over the years, ArEt won several local musical competitions. Grzegorz talks, writes and lives in 4 different languages: born in Poland and emigrated to Germany, he went to the French secondary school in Berlin and also lived in the US. So the cultural madness of Berlin is the place to be for this multilingual talent!
When Grzegorz started to produce music for K.I.Z. years ago, there wasn't a hint that the provoking Berlin guys would have a top ten album. Needless to say, with Grzegorzs’ participation! Distinctive titles such like „Hölle“ feat. Bela B. („Die Ärzte“), „Was willst du machen“ and „Neuruppin“ were composed by Grzegorz and his colleague Nico.
Grzegorz and Nico (teaming up as WassBass) are the main producers of K.I.Z. Their new album „Sexismus Gegen Rechts“ will be released by Universal/Vertigo/Royal Bunker on July 10. And, needless to say, again the sound of K.I.Z. is influenced significantly by WassBass, including the new single „Eintritt“.
Grzegorz musical compositions range from hard rock to heavy experimental electro; from heartrending pop ballads to theatrical and opera music; always aiming for new and better music, while showing respect to the tried and true, and, at the same time, following Nietzsches „Taste is the biggest enemy of creativity“.
