You might best know LOPAZZ for his quality, avant-garde club music for labels like Get Physical, Cocoon, Poker Flat, and London's Output Recordings. However, his career as a multimedia artist is far more diverse.
His first serious involvement with music began in the early 90s, and since 1996 he's been part of the "HD800" team, founded by the legendary Dman, operating a techno club, record labels, and a recording studio.
LOPAZZ is also a renowned film and television composer, having written and performed more than 70 TV and documentary scores. Since 1999, he has provided original compositions and productions for UNESCO's "World Heritage," "Along Mekong’s Wanderlust," "The Foodhunter," "Marco Polo Reloaded," and Michael Martin’s "Planet Desert."
In 2003, LOPAZZ's self-titled EP of off-kilter dance music was released on Freundinnen Label and later signed by Trevor Jackson's Output Recordings. This was followed by the singles "Blood," remixed by Tiefschwarz, and his first bona fide club hit "I Need Ya." The success of "I Need Ya" led to LOPAZZ remixing Germany's biggest pop act Xavier Naidoo, and techno legend Sven Väth included it in his "Sound of the Fourth Season" mix CD. In 2007, he released "Share My Rhythm", followed by his album "Kook Kook." From 2010 to 2012, LOPAZZ co-produced all tracks, releases, and remixes for DJ T., including "The Pleasure Principle" album and remixes for Phreek and Black Light Smoke.
From 2000-2014, LOPAZZ performed live worldwide, playing at clubs in Sao Paulo, Berlin, Paris, London, NYC, Honolulu, Frankfurt, Moscow, Miami, Shanghai, Ibiza, and many more.
LOPAZZ is also an in-demand mixing and mastering engineer for artists like Axel Boman, Booka Shade, John Talabot, Tuff City Kids, among others. His Mixmastering.de studios are top-notch facilities for writing, production, mixing, and mastering.
