Expression is her mission, creating it with a strong musical repertoire, a versatile voice and the empowerment to translate the full spectrum of emotions into music. Live Act and DJ MARIA Die RUHE embodies all of it throughout her compositions and performances. Over the years Maria has expanded her most expressive instrument - the Voice. Together with Synths and the application of Strings and Piano she has carved a strong energetic Live Set. A diversity of feelings and mind states inspires Maria’s colorful songs, creating an immediate intimacy and invocation to dance and let go. 


Born and raised in Thuringia, Germany, the journey took her via Berlin and San Francisco, to the city where she feels at her best expression nowadays: Leipzig. These places allowed her to study Jazz, Contemporary Music and Voice and helped to build a strong musical foundation. Maria used the pandemic-enforced hiatus and transformed the challenges during that time into the very personal album “ENARCHY”. As an unapologetic, honest and thoughtful person, she converts these qualities into performances that cannot be associated with just one genre.

She has been part of many collaborations, including Bjørk Stellar and Seth Schwarz, which allows her to blend her own artistic vision with likeminded partners to create highly immersive, genre-blending works which are not only uniquely produced but complemented by her vocal versatility and ability to elevate each work with it. This makes her a great addition to co-writing sessions or artist collaborations.

MARIA Die RUHE toured a host of countries with her compelling live set and played festivals and clubs across the globe, from Berlin to Brazil.
