Solange Knowles, known as Solange, is an American singer-songwriter and artist. Born 1986 in Houston, Texas, into a musician family, she has made a unique mark in the music industry.

Solange's debut album, Solo Star, was released in 2002, but it was her 2008 album, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams, that showcased her distinct style.

Her following albums were a major success, addressing themes of identity and social justice, and earning her a Grammy for "Cranes in the Sky."

In 2019 she released When I Get Home, further blending funk, jazz, and electronic music. Beyond music, Solange is involved in performance and visual arts, performing at venues like the Guggenheim Museum and the Venice Biennale.

Solange is also known for her advocacy for social justice, often exploring themes of black identity in her work. Her innovative approach continues to influence and inspire, making her a significant figure in contemporary culture.
